BookMapping

The idea of BookMapping using Google Earth and Map tools is fantastic. It provides a great application for the Google software.

I did a presentation at Google Camp Oklahoma in November 2017.

Entering HyperSpace with HyperDocs

I presented this at the OTA Conference last year. I really like the concept of HyperDocs as a method of presenting digital information and having students be the creators of work. In the evolution of technology we are finally at a stage of equitable access making creating and sharing possible. The HyperDoc provides for us a framework to follow and higher end thinking skills to be engaged.

25 Minutes to Google Prowess

In an effort to teach a lot of information in a short amount of time I put together the 25 minutes to Google Prowess presentation. This was for the first day of teacher training at school with a wide variety of experience levels in accessing Google.

Check out the presentation. - https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1k-lrCu9zyU5T9Puo_EESdRcs4iYkZ9k6RX-_DbUgJ74/edit?usp=sharing

map icon

So creating a map icon for google Tour Builder is fairly easy in Google Drawings. It is a 64x64 pixel image.
The problem with the custom map icon and Google products is the extension. In Drive, photos, and even Google Sites the image does not end in a traditional extension but a special Googleized web address. So the images will not show correctly.
Blogger I think has a bit of the older system still at work. The image address in Blogger does end in the .png format making it possible to copy and paste the image address.
